After a grueling, stressful year of unemployment, I finally started a new job this week and I have HireClub to thank for it.
Earlier this year I started volunteering with Tech for Campaigns, which I’d heard about last fall through HireClub’s Facebook Live Q&A. The email fundraising project I’ve been leading for a candidate for Virginia State Senate has been really successful so far, and when I saw a full time position open up at TFC for a State Lead overseeing all their digital projects for Virginia’s 2019 election cycle, I decided to follow my passion and apply.
I had multiple calls with my coach, Brandi Nicole Johnson, during the interview process, practicing mock interviews and getting her advice along the way. She’s been an incredible resource for re-building my confidence over the last several months, and in preparation specifically for this role.
I’m ecstatic about being able to finally work in a field I’m really passionate about, where I can make a huge impact.
